About Project

Eventyr is hiring a Senior Finance Manager to own our operational finance backbone — invoicing, payroll, management reporting, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow. You’ll turn project data from Jira into accurate client and partner invoicing, keep payroll precise end-to-end, and deliver monthly P&L, CF, BS, and liquidity KPIs in Cognos. Working closely with HR, Delivery, and Leadership, you’ll track utilization, control DSO, and drive profitability by project and department. The role combines hands-on finance operations with FP&A with potential growth path to Head of Finance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years in operational finance / FP&A (services or tech)
  • Hands-on experience in invoicing, AR/AP and payroll
  • Strong understanding of P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet, liquidity and DSO control
  • Budgeting/forecasting, advanced Excel/Sheets, Jira, ERP/accounting systems, Cognos or other BI tools
  • Upper-Intermediate+ English, crisp stakeholder communication

    Nice-to-have:
  • Group reporting and multi-jurisdiction experience
  • ACCA/CIMA/CPA (in progress or completed)
  • SQL basics for data pulls and ad-hoc analysis

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and issue client invoices based on PM time reports, reconcile hours, rates, and payments
  • Verify partner/subcontractor invoices against logged hours in Jira
  • Manage payroll from scratch — bonuses, extras, taxes, and payments — in alignment with HR
  • Compile HR-finance summaries: headcount, locations, and engagement types for group reporting
  • Produce and analyze P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, AR, and liquidity reports
  • Update and reconcile data in Cognos (balance, AR, liquidity, utilization)
  • Build budgets and forecasts, run plan-vs-actual variance analysis
  • Calculate profitability by project, team, and department, analyze margins
  • Communicate with local accountants: provide primary documentation, clarify transactions, and control accuracy of bookkeeping data
  • Drive automation and process improvement: streamline invoicing, payroll, and reporting workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy
